Features of the AI Canvas:

Query node: Where you ask an initial question. This uses natural language to search all of the loaded data to find sections (what we call chunks) that are relevant to the question and will give you an answer you can verify. The query node has:

Links: Once an answer is derived the top 1-10 sources are displayed visually. You can identify what the most relevant source is via the relevancy score we display in the middle of the link.

Relevancy score: the score is a number from 1 to 100 that annotates which document has the most relevant section to the question that has been asked. The more relevant the closer to 100. The links are also colored (green for most relevant, red for least) so that you can determine the relevancy with just a glance.

Document node (Sources): Each question has corresponding sources. This is the full document from which the relevant sections have been derived. The document node contains the following:

Title: the title of the original document

Upload date: when the document was last uploaded

Most relevant sections (chunks): These are the relevant sections that the AI has extracted from the sources (e.g. a paragraph from a pdf document) as being most important. Each chunk will have a relevancy score.

View: this button allows you to see the whole document in its original form.

The answer: this is the result of a “super prompt”. The “super prompt” is composed of the question, the top 5-10 relevant chunks, and any pre-prompt you have set up. This is fed into the language model and the output is displayed as the answer.

Continue Chatting: Followup queries for when you get an answer that is incomplete or want to know more about the topic. This experience is in the familiar chatbot form.

Comment node: You can drag and drop comment nodes onto the Canvas to add annotations to your insights.

Shareable link: Create a view only link that can be distributed to anyone so you can share the insights.

Control Panel: This is where you manage the settings for your AI Canvas.

Name: Edit the name of the AI Canvas

Pre-prompts: This will append extra prompt info to your questions. It works similar to ChatGPT’s custom instructions. Some examples are “explain it to me like I’m a 7 year old” or “use bullet points”.

Number of chunks: Choose how many chunks will be used with each question. If you want more detail with more sources then set it to a higher number, if you are focused on finding something then reduce the number.
